Young Author Celebration

The BRRC's next meeting will be held on Thursday,May 8 at 4:00 in the Liberty Middle  school's media center. 

Cassie Kraay from Burke County public Library will be sharing information about the upcoming Summer Programs for adults, young adults, and children.

Through volunteer opportunities, student education, professional guest speakers, author presentations, celebrating student successes and participating on the state level, we are making a difference by learning and implementing the "best practices" for our children to become life-long learners and responsible citizens.

North Carolina Reading Association Announces       Young Author Topic for the School-Year                 

The theme for the 2013-2014 Young Authors' Project is "Happily Ever After-What's Your Story?" Young Authors are encouraged to write in poetry or prose, as fiction or non-fiction. Students and Forever Young writers might write a fiction or nonfiction piece- they will surprise you!
